Program Snapshot
4-Week Summer Reading Program
TRA’s summer reading support is designed for families who want their child to enter the next school year with stronger foundational reading skills, more confidence, and a clearer path forward.
Each student receives:
4 weekly live online reading sessions
Each session is 50 minutes and led by a trained TRA instructor or Literacy Instructional Assistant.
Small-group instruction
Classes are intentionally kept small so students are seen, called on, and given opportunities to read aloud.
15 minutes of practice between sessions
Students complete structured reading practice designed to reinforce the same skills taught during live instruction.
Personalized Reading Summary
At the end of the program, families receive a clear summary of what their child practiced, where they grew, and what to focus on next.
Program Investment: $249
Why We Start With a Consultation - Every child’s reading needs are different. Their support should be too.
Before placing your child into a summer reading group, TRA takes time to understand where they are, what they need, and what kind of support will help them grow.
This short consultation helps us learn:
your child’s grade level
what you are noticing with readingwhether your child needs help with phonics, fluency, comprehension, or confidence
what has worked or not worked before
which class option may be the best fit
This is not a sales call.
It is the first step in making sure your child is placed with intention.

Why Live Online Works - Live online instruction works when it is active, structured, and human-centered.
Most online programs are passive. Children watch videos, click through activities, or complete digital worksheets without enough live feedback.
TRA is different.
Our live online model is designed so students participate in real time. They read aloud, respond to the instructor, practice decoding, build fluency, and receive immediate support while they are learning.
The value is not the screen.
The value is the instruction happening through it.
TRA’s model works because it combines:
Small-group interaction
Students are not hidden in a large class. They are expected to participate.
Structured literacy instruction
Lessons are rooted in the Science of Reading and guided by TRA’s ROOTS of Learning™ framework.
Practice between sessions
Students reinforce the same skills throughout the week so learning has a chance to stick.
Instructor observation
TRA instructors monitor reading behaviors, participation, decoding, fluency, and confidence.

Two Ways We Stand Behind Families
We do not disappear after enrollment.
TRA is built around support, observation, and responsiveness.
If your child’s group is not the right fit, we work with you to adjust. If the level needs to be reviewed, we review it. If your child is not engaging, we respond with instructional support.
Our goal is not simply to place your child in a class.
Our goal is to help your child grow as a reader.
