At The Reading Alliance, we are passionate about ensuring children master the foundations of reading through in-person and virtual tutoring interventions. We collaborate closely with districts, schools, and parents; supplementing literacy instruction to empower Pre-K through 3rd grade students with essential reading skills for life long success.

Our paid tutors undergo rigorous training and continuous coaching. They develop instructional expertise firmly rooted in the science of reading, enhancing their effectiveness in tutoring, teaching and fostering a love for literacy.

Our different tutoring positions

Tap-in and make a difference

Our current tutors include part-time teachers, college students and retirees, and recent high school graduates. Every tutor enjoys working with kids and wants to support their reading development. During the school year, tutors must work a minimum of 25 hours per week and are compensated on an hourly basis, depending on the number of sessions they complete.
