Service Levels

TRA Pathways ensures smooth, reliable classroom coverage through clear performance standards. If a staff member is absent, we provide same-day coverage (within 2 hours) or a next-day replacement. LIAs submit weekly data reports summarizing time on text, accuracy, and next-step goals, verified by site leads and coaches. We conduct weekly team huddles and bi-weekly admin check-ins to review data, attendance, and site needs. Any performance gaps trigger a short improvement plan with coaching and follow-up. Every placement includes verified background checks, mandated-reporter training, and full compliance documentation ready for audit.

Literacy Instructional Assistant (LIA)

The Reading Alliance (TRA) is leading Arizona’s literacy transformation — and we’re looking for dedicated, passionate individuals to join our team as Literacy Instructional Assistants (LIAs).


As an LIA, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping children learn to read using Science of Reading-aligned routines and TRA’s proven ROOTS of Learning™ framework. TRA Fingerprint Clearance

Compliance & Safety

  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Checks: All TRA staff and LIAs complete FBI-level fingerprint clearance and state background screening before placement. Records are verified and stored securely in compliance with district and state education standards to ensure every adult working with students is fully cleared and documented.

  • FERPA & Data Privacy: TRA follows the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and district data-sharing agreements to protect student information. Staff are trained in confidentiality protocols, ensuring academic, behavioral, and personal data is handled only for instructional purposes.

  • Site Safety & Reporting: Every placement includes safety orientation, mandated-reporter training, and site-specific supervision protocols. Our teams uphold consistent standards for arrival/dismissal, classroom ratios, and emergency procedures, reinforcing student safety and professional accountability on every campus.
