Early literacy tutors for students, sidekick to teachers and parents.
The Reading Alliance moves the needle for educators and students. Powered by the Science of Reading, TRA delivers early literacy tutoring to classrooms and homes.
Why TRA works
1
Personalized learning
Students have a flexible schedule, filling in gaps in their understanding and then accelerating their learning.
2
Proven framework
Created by experts, TRA’s framework is trusted and Science of Reading aligned. Alphabet knowledge, phonological and phonemic awareness, oral/vocabulary, and comprehension are all covered in TRA's activities and lessons.
3
Tools to empower teachers
With TRA, teachers will have a dedicated literacy specialist in their classroom 4 days a week.

TEACHERS
“There’s not a lot of male tutors or teachers or men of color and our kids really look up to them. I’ve noticed, especially our boys getting more involved and wanting to learn and not always just play.”
CHRISTY DISCELLO, / PRE-SCHOOL COORDINATOR / GLENDALE, AZ

WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Every child deserves
the chance to read.
Across Arizona, 75% of minority students are minimally proficient in reading skills. The Reading Alliance works to unleash the power of community working together to solve the literacy problem our students face. We believe all children should be reading at grade level by the end of third grade— the time at which reading to learn, and not just learning to read, becomes essential.
